Just had an ‘interview’ for a temporary bar staff job at the the Mumford gig in Greenhead Park next month. I got the job by the looks of it, although I need to confirm it via email. It’s a 5-minute walk from my house, which is handy.
It was a weird interview though, they sat a bunch of us around a table (by the toilets in Wetherspoons) and gave us some stuff to read/fill out, before a group interview started. It was dull and everyone was just sitting there looking awkward and fiddling with the paper, so I tried to strike up some friendly conversation along the lines of, “So, I bet you’ve never been interviewed by a pub toilet before!” We all broke out into laughter and became fast friends, I’m actually going on a camping trip with them all in July. Oh, no wait - that’s not what happened, they all just smirked briefly, and replied with “no”, before the conversation died faster than that slug me and Rob salted by the pool table that time. Brilliant.
